British Military 90 Pattern DPM Camouflage Combat Jacket
This is the British military's 1990 Pattern Combat Smock that was issued from about 1992 to 1994 to replace worn out kit until it was phased out by the 1995 Pattern. It was produced in response to various complaints reported about the previous 84 Pattern suit.
This jacket features a zippered front with buttoned flap, four large bellowed front pockets, hook and pile tape (Velcro) cuffs, shoulder length lining, a small pocket on the left sleeve, a shell dressing (1st aid pack) pouch on the right sleeve, and vertical zip chest pockets left and right of center.
DPM (disruptive pattern material) was the United Kingdom's primary camouflage pattern from 1966 to the 2000's. The British military used many contractors in the production of their uniforms and therefore the colors will vary slightly from these photographs.
These are used, vintage military uniform pieces. May or may not have name tapes. Expect wear, to include frays and various markings such as servicemembers names and numbers written on them. All of this adds to the character and history of used military surplus material.
