Four stars because Eastern Bloc weirdness. No reflection on the vendor! Pity anyone using this in a fog of nerve gas. They'd die. For rain, I believe this will be useful. The odd cut allows for a pack. The closures allow for binoculars, with some clumsiness. There's a Polish (or Czech?) rain cape out there that is superior in every respect, but those aren't available anymore.
The plastic feels thicker than a construction trash bag and similar to or a bit thicker than the air crash survival vendor's "survival bag". It is a weird, but solid, bit of history.
It's Rothco. The mesh is a tad heavier than the versions at the dollar store. The drawstring and stitching are way more robust than the dollar store or big box store versions.
Tip: These mesh bags are better for dirty laundry than a rubberized pack liner bag. Especially in the summer...
This is a great REAL DEAL surplus store! I spent a couple hours looking through everything and found genuine NOS WW2 surplus at extremely reasonable prices! After talking with the friendly staff and hearing about their warehouse I'm beginning to think it's the "Bannerman's" of our time! Buffalo is so lucky to have one of the last and biggest Surplus stores in our city! The only recommendation I would make is to have a "hardware store" section, there is a ton of people like me who are actively looking for workshop supplies and with the DIY and Maker movements going strong I really think if you grouped all you hardware type things together it would be worth your time especially if you have things like tool boxes, tool rolls, hinges, handles and other hardware but also stuff that us Makers can repurpose like wood crates and discounted worn out/broken stock that we can buy and strip useful stuff off!

Awesome heavy wool blanket, as soon as you wrap it around you can feel the warmth. Did I mention heavy, never held a blanket of this size that weighs as much, should do the trick for winter campout or just colder. I liked it so much I ordered another one this time went for gray purple color. The Grey with Black stripe in middle was in great shape like made last year not 70 years ago. Had a little smell of surplus I think from tent that was in same box, no plastic wrap but I am sure airing it out will fix it, but I believe smell came from tent in box with it. 50% sale was awesome 👍
