Discovered: Real Canadian wool blankets from the NES (National Emergency Services), used by the Canadian Emergency Health Services (EHS) from the late 1950s to the early 1960s. These blankets feature a darker gray stripe and an “E.H.S.” or “DND” (Dept National Defense) stamp. They are durable, warm, breathable, and naturally resistant to moisture—all essential qualities in emergency situations. These historically significant wool blankets hold a unique connection to Canada’s emergency services of the past.
