Vintage US Military All-Purpose Airdrop Cargo Tow Strap Sling

This heavy-duty, nylon strap was once used to suspend thousands of pounds of equipment from cargo parachutes. Each sling assembly is made with 3 continuous loops. The loops are 1 3/4-inch wide, type XXVI nylon webbing. They are held together with keepers of 1-inch, nylon reinforced tape. Each sling has a sliding webbing keeper and a cotton or nylon buffer at each end. For example, you can cut both ends and have 6 individual, 60 feet pieces. Or you can cut one end and have 3, 120 feet pieces. 360 total feet of webbing!

Type XXVI nylon webbing has a tensile strength of 15,000 pounds.
